Postcard Printing | 16pt Coated Cardstock

Postcard Printing | 16pt Coated Cardstock come in various sizes and with full color CMYK process inks.  Most postcards are 12pt or even 14pt, but our 16pt postcards are thick and durable with a heavy weight finish.  Our 16pt postcards come either in smooth matte finish, high gloss finish or gloss front matte back.  People request a matte finish for writing purposes and high gloss for photos and graphics.  We have 11 sizes to select from and all have the option of rounded corners.  Please check with your local post office for size requirements.  Not all post offices use the same guidelines and can vary from state to state.  They may be required to, but they just don’t, so please check if you’re not sure.

Download file preparation templates for creating your files with our exact specifications.  You will be able to choose between Illustrator and Photoshop templates.  If you have questions about the templates, you can contact our art department through our contact form.

Current print schedules can be acquired by request through our contact form.  We always suggest that you request samples prior to making your purchase or start with a small quantity to test your design work on.  Our 16pt card stock can slightly vary in color from run to run.  Please note that turnaround times do not include shipping.  Always add in a cushion of a couple extra days in case of any delays.  Weekends do not count as part of turnaround times.

These are some guides to ensure that your finished product is the best it can be.
  • Best files for output are PDF vector files. If you use a design app, look for PDF when saving.
  • Borders - While they look nice on a lot of printed cards and other printed products, they can shift in cutting, resulting in uneven sides.  Best to not use borders that are less than 3/16ths of an inch.  If you can do without, even better.  Please note that perfect centering is not guaranteed and if a minor shift occurs, product will be deemed acceptable.
  • When designing your project, design in CMYK color mode and save in CMYK.  RGB is not a print profile for commercial printing.
  • Most orders are completed within the estimated turnaround times, however we have a quality control process and if your order doesn't look acceptable to us, we will reprint as soon as possible, in many cases, without notice. give your projects a cushion of time as our turnaround times are estimations, not guarantees.
