Custom Holographic Foil Stamped Trading Cards – 16pt

Upgrade your trading cards with premium 16pt coated card stock, available in your choice of glossy or matte finish. We custom print each card in full color on both sides and apply foil stamping to one side only.

Because foil cannot be applied over a gloss coating, we avoid this combination since the foil may crack or peel over time. Foil Trading Cards are a popular specialty product that we offer at PremiumCards.net.

Trading Cards with FoilHot Foil Stamping vs. Holographic Card Stock

This trading card option differs from printing directly on holographic card stock. Instead, we use a hot foil stamping process to apply holographic or custom foil colors to selected areas of your design.

As a result, the foil becomes a specific design element rather than covering the entire card. This process works best for selective accents, so heavy foil coverage is not recommended. For example, foil can highlight logos, names, borders, icons, or other important design elements.

Holographic and Custom Foil Options

Foils are available in holographic and standard colors, with all current options shown in the foil color dropdown. Depending on the color and style you choose, foils may be opaque (not see-through) for bold, solid accents or transparent (see-through) for subtle overlay effects that allow your artwork to show through.

For example, popular holographic styles include Clear, Cracked Ice, Confetti, Full Spectrum, and Light Columns. Therefore, you have several options for creating eye-catching collectible trading cards that you typically won’t find from standard online printers.

Custom Foil Dies and Reorders

We create a custom magnesium foil die for every order. In addition, we can reuse your existing die for future reprints, which makes reordering the same design easier.

Because hot foil stamping uses a physical die, each foil area must be prepared specifically for your artwork and design.

Important Printing Details

  • Minimum order per design is 50 cards. One design per order.
  • We produce high-end color quality and a premium finished appearance.
  • Borders may shift slightly during cutting; therefore, we cannot guarantee perfect centering.
  • We do not recommend large foil areas that cover more than 30% of the card.
  • For the best results, use foil for selective highlights rather than large solid areas.

PURCHASING MORE THAN 1 ORDER OF CARDS AND NEED PACKAGING?

These are some guides to ensure that your finished product is the best it can be.
  • Best files for output are PDF vector files. If you use a design app, look for PDF when saving.
  • Borders - While they look nice on a lot of printed cards and other printed products, they can shift in cutting, resulting in uneven sides.  Best to not use borders that are less than 3/16ths of an inch.  If you can do without, even better.  Please note that perfect centering is not guaranteed and if a minor shift occurs, product will be deemed acceptable.
  • When designing your project, design in CMYK color mode and save in CMYK.  RGB is not a print profile for commercial printing.
  • Most orders are completed within the estimated turnaround times, however we have a quality control process and if your order doesn't look acceptable to us, we will reprint as soon as possible, in many cases, without notice. give your projects a cushion of time as our turnaround times are estimations, not guarantees.
